The parts in bold are about Twilight

Don’t cry for Panem just yet.

Though the final chapter in The Hunger Games series debuted in theaters last month, there’s a chance that the franchise could live on through prequels. And it’s not the only Lionsgate entity being eyed for a continuation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate entertainment vice chairman Michael Burns compared The Hunger Games to Harry Potter during an investor conference in New York City today, and said that he expects the saga to “live on and on and on.”

“The one thing that kids say they missed [from the early Hunger Games films] was there was no arenas,” said Burns, referring to the fact that previous filmed only covered the 74th and 75th competitions. “If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas.”

The Hunger Games isn’t the only big franchise that Lionsgate is planning to revisit. According to Burns, other films being eyed for either sequels, reboots, or prequels include Twilight, The Expendables, and Saw.

As Hunger Games fans might recall, star Josh Hutcherson fueled speculation about a continuation when he told Conan O’Brien earlier this summer that the series will go on beyond Mockingjay – Part 2. Though Burns has essentially confirmed that fact, there’s no word yet on whether the stars of the original franchise — Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Hutcherson, will be involved in a prequel.

Meanwhile, Twilight star Robert Pattinson has repeatedly said he has no plans to reprise his role as Edward in the vampire saga, though his co-star Kristen Stewart said earlier this year that she would at least be “interested” in a reboot — though not necessarily to star in.

“I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it,” said Stewart about the Twilight franchise. “But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it.”

Which are you more excited about? A Hunger Games prequel or a Twilight reboot? And do you want to see new stars in the roles? Tell us in the comments!

I'm not sure if I'm on time with this or late. I'm going to assume late but maybe some of you don't know yet

For the tenth anniversary of Twilight, Stephanie Meyer rewrote the first novel and gender-swapped the characters. Bella is now Beau Swan and Edward is now Edith Cullen

I saw it earlier when I was shopping and had to pick it up and skim it over. I'm probably going to buy it to see what it's like. If it's good or bad we'll see but at least she tried doing something different for the 10th anniversary

Though I am disappointed it wasn't Midnight Sun. Though she gave the reason why it wasn't and who knows. Maybe we can expect it in the future still

Anyway what do you all think? Have you seen the book? Do you plan to get it? Do you have it? Did you like it or do you think it's a stupid waste of time?

This is actually well done I find. Can't wait to see the others
I may be a bit late with this. Maybe there are also others out but I found this one

What are your opinions?

If there are any others that have been released with the titles from the previous journal and you know of them feel free to share the link
Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook, Volvo, and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer joined forces to present The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga project, in which female writers and directors were allowed to submit original stories in the form of short films, so long as the films were set in the Twilight universe and based on those characters.

After 1,200 submissions, EW can exclusively reveal the six winners of the screenplay portion of the competition. Each of the below finalists will receive $50,000 to produce their short films:

“The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear follows Alice and the events that led to her becoming a vampire.

“Sunrise” by Alanna Smith tells Benjamin’s story.

“Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson is about Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.

“The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear focuses on Alice’s human life before she became a vampire.

“Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler & Megan L. Reese tells Jane and Alec’s story.

“We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green is all about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.

The full screenplays will be posted on Tongal’s contest page later today, while the competition continues to build with winners of the directing and short film portion yet to be announced. And at the end of it all, the grand prize winner will receive the opportunity to shadow a director on one of Lionsgate’s television shows, along with a new, Cullen-approved 2015 Volve XC90.
I hope all you Twilighters had a good Christmas or whatever you celebrated! :aww:
